Well we’re inside of 24 hours now. Everything is packed, now its just a waiting game. I’m ready, I’ve never been so ready. The guys are almost there as it is and we’ll eb there in just a few hours. Check out this pic that Ben drew, (click for large version) I think he needs to be on some meds or something. Hopefully he’ll post a comment about what this all means. Off to relax before I leave…
The weather is beautiful today, at least for now. I woke up at 8ish got out of bed and started my saturday routine a la spring break packing and cleaning. I dunno why, but for some reason today I have a ton of energy. I kept dreaming about next week and all the cool stuff we’re going to do.
I spoke with Kyle and John on the road today, at 1230ish they were in Upton, KY and having a blast. I wish you both safe travels and a good trip. See you on Monday morning!
More to come later this weekend before I leave including exclusive artwork from Ben!
Well the time is almost upon us. Spring Break is here. Last night at about 830 it was final, the last class was dismissed. A quote from my favorite movie says “Just a few bumps and we’re haulin’ the mail” I’m at work now, heading to Kokomo for dinner with Kyle tonight and then packing and finding everything I need tomorrow. Sunday I’ll pick up any last minute details and head to Indy. Monday morning I’ll be on a plane, in the afternoon I’ll be on the boat. Life doesn’t get much better right now…
I woke up this morning to the sound of rain boucing off my windows. I just didn’t want to get out of my warm bed basically and face the day. Unfortunately we all have our burdens, mine today is work. I headed out into the unusually warm morning air, the rain had stopped. It was humid, sticky, warm, comfortable. I love it. I felt like on of those spring mornings, you know, the ones that show up around Easter? I love those mornings. Sadly it’s raining again, the wind has picked up. I can’t help but think that spring is in our midst and just beginning to show itself.
Only a few days now until the cruise, everyone is getting excited, stressed, and ready to go…
Usually when I post here it’s about the number of posts or comments that I’m getting well today is a new kind of post. I’m posting because I’m down to 212 lbs. That may not sound like a good thing to some of you but I was over 225 just 10 days ago. I haven’t been a diet per se, more of a watch what I eat and try to eat healthier thing.
You see before this I was eating McDonald’s and Taco Bell almost daily and usually a lot of it. Well I’ve stopped eating cheeseburgers basically and haven’t had T-Bell in 2 weeks almost. I don’t drink pop that much, I’ve been drinking more water and I’ve stopped drinking sugar in my tea at home (that’s a huge step) and I’m trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. I had broccoli salad for lunch the other day! Me, green vegetables, healthy, it’s a miracle!
I can honestly say that I feel better and I think I’m starting to look a bit better, although it’s not showing yet. I hope to be under 200 by the end of the month and then down even more by spring break, not that I’ll look great on a beach, but at least I’ll be somewhat healthier. I don’t have a target weight, I just know that I need to eat a little better than I used to, I was starting to feel bad physically with all the junk I was putting in myself.
Here’s to another 12 pounds!
Ben tells me that we’re 31.25% done with the semester, I’m excited about that. We’re closer and closer to the end of the year but more importantly we are much closer to Spring Break and a Caribbean cruise… Back to the boring stuff…
Today was one of those days with lots to do and honestly I think I did more than I expected. I feel very accomplished right now.
I got up, fixed my uncle’s computer. My g-ma and I decided that my cousin needed her own computer so we found a Dell that will suit her just fine. Nothing fancy, but it’ll work great. I’m paying for it, g-ma is paying me back in a month. I went to Kokomo and fixed Franki’s computer kinda. It works fine, just not as well as I’d like it to. I read the WSJ for the first time, not bad, I feel so adult now. 🙂 Erin and I got our plane tickets for spring break. We’re set and I’m excited about the trip again. So today I’ve fixed 2 computers, ordered 1 more, bought 2 plane tickets. $1200 and I really didn’t spend any of my money. A good day really.
Time for bed so I can be up to watch the Colts pound the Steelers!
