A huge Midol?

Just a quick post while I’m at lunch today:

  • Facebook failed me again, it’s too bothersome for me lately. I don’t want to find out which Disney Princess I am, I don’t care about a knighthood or a poke. Writing on my wall is enough for me, the messages? Please I have to check my email to see I have a message then go to the message to read it. How about this: EMAIL ME! Also if you don’t already, get a website, you find me here, I’ll find you there. Inspired almost entirely by Dan Klass.
  • Is the whole world PMS’ing today? Seriously everyone has an attitude or is at least in a bad mood and I’m about sick of it all. I just about can’t stand to be near annoy today. They don’t listen and when they talk it’s all attitude. Get over it people, it’s Monday. I can’t remember the last Monday that I woke up early (45 minutes early), ate breakfast before taking a shower and even had a cup of coffee while reading through the news online. I was happy this morning dangit! Stop ruining it!

Just another day at the office I suppose…

Bouncing off the walls

OK so I’m hyper as crap right now and I don’t really know why. I had a few cups of coffee this morning, but that’s not unusual, I ate some grapes, that’s unusual but i doubt its why I’m hyper. I did accomplish something yesterday that I thought would never happen, I finished every podcast I’ve downloaded finally. At one point I had over 45 hours left to listen to, now I have 0! Most of you don’t care but I think it’s related to my mood, how you ask? Well I listened to the Rent soundtrack on my way to work this morning, 1 hour of songs I know the words to blaring at obscene levels. It was a good time. Anyways I’m writing some other stuff today so I’m sure you’ll see more soon…

So it goes

Wow. I totally turned my evening around. First off, right after I posted about being sick, I went upstairs in the library, put in my headphones, listened to a little Rob Costlow and started reading Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Quite possibly the greatest I’ve read in a long time. After about half an hour I called Erin and then went to the Breakfast House. I sat down, got a cup of coffee and continued reading. I read the **whole thing**, all 275 pages of it. Read this book!
I drank an amazing amount of coffee, I honestly lost track of how many cups I had in an hour and a half. I also enjoyed some people watching while I was there, nothing exciting, just people going about their lives. It’s fun to see how people act when they think no one is watching.
I honestly don’t think I could have been more relaxed than I was tonight. I was away from everything and it felt great. I had my music, a great book, and just peace and quiet. I loved every minute of it.
Of course after the Breakfast House I headed to Starbucks to enjoy a nice game of Poker with Jake, John, Kyle, and Orion. I lost, quickly, but it was still fun. I’m home now and headed to bed… I still feel like crap.
BTW, thanks for letting me borrow the book Danielle, a true classic, I loved every page.

A busy day already

So I got up around 11:30 this morning. I don’t know why but I have a feeling that I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight, I’ve slept like 21 hours this weekend. That’s probably too much. Anyway though, I’ve been busy already.
First off, I bought a Melitta One:One coffee maker last night, so I had to get that setup. It’s pretty cool actually and seems to make decent coffee quickly. It looks like I’m going to be able to use Senseo pods with it also so getting new pods shouldn’t be a problem.
I also remembered that I needed to wash my car. I went to Mike’s the other day and when they dried it, it wasn’t dry. I got all the water marks off now I think. It looks better anyways.
Bought the Family Guy movie Friday night too. I’ve seen it of course, but had to buy it to keep my conscious at bay.
I wonder if I won the Powerball last night?
Go Colts!

Last Night

Played some poker with the guys last night, I won one game. Finally! It was tough though, a straight to the Queen saved me big time. It was nice to have all the guys around for a good night of poker. No girls, no whining, just cards, cash and tea. Heh, actually:
The starbucks refill mystery has finally been solved. Kinda, I recieved a letter from them today actually. Here’s the text:

Dear Mr. Bollman
Thank you for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company.

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our refill policy. I am happy to explain that when any beverage is consumed at the store, a customer may purcahse one refill fo brewed coffee, iced coffee or iced tea. A customer is charged the refill price for these beverages only adn the refill must be within one hour of the original purchase at teh same store as the original purchase. If, for example, the refill request is for a hot tea, a customer would be charged the full pice for another cup of hot tea.
Thank you again for contacting Starbucks. If you have any further…(yadda yadda yadda)
Customer Relations

So does that mean if I buy any beverage in the store I am entitled to a coffee (iced or hot) or an iced tea at the refill price? Cause that’s how I read it and that’s how I’m going to pursue it. Last night, before I got this letter, I tried to understand the policy myself and was told by a Starbucks employee that I could only get a brewed coffee beverage, not tea as a refill. I’m going to show him this letter, we’ll see what happens.

In other news, Kyle and John have blogs now, check them out.
I have two tests today, Org Mgmt and Ops Mgmt. You have no idea how much fun it is, let me tell ya. I should do OK, I’ve been studying all morning to catch up on what I missed by playing cards last night. I’d better get back to studying.
